By this program students from Punjab can purchase electric bikes with no interest with affordable installments. The scheme is designed to address the issue of transportation for students. A contract was also reached with and the Government of Punjab and the Bank of Punjab for this scheme.

CM Maryam Nawaz Electric Bike Scheme 2024 is announced on today 09 April 2024.If you are a resident of this province called Punjab and you are enrolled at a public institution and would like to purchase an electric bike, then here are the full information about the registration process for you. We’ll inform you that the registration process for the electric bicycle scheme is not yet in place however, an agreement has been made in conjunction with Punjab Bank on behalf of the Punjab government. In the near future, applications will be made through Punjab Bank. In this way we hope that registration processes will be done online and prospective students can complete their registration using the application form online.

As part of this initiative the PML-N government will give 19,000 petrol bikes as well as 1,000 electric bikes for students. The bikes will be provided with no interest charge on monthly installments. It is expected that the Bank of Punjab (BOP) is a key partner in this program to facilitate distribution of the two-wheelers.
The monthly payment for bikes that run on petrol is fixed at Rs 5,000, in the case of electric bikes, it’s $10,000. The government is planning to hold the draw in May this year, with deliveries of bikes beginning in the month.
